Stratoship signs MoU with Queensland based company, Orbit2Orbit, and Sunburnt Space Co.

Stratoship has been named a finalist in the DeepTech category in the 2025 Australian Technologies Competition. Being named a semi-finalist in the #ATC is more than just an honour - it’s a testament to the high-altitude #deeptech solutions we’re building to help solve real-world problems, including improving bushfire detection.

Stratoship has been named a finalist in the Innovation - Technology Award as part of the 2025 AAUS Industry Champion Awards. Pushing the boundaries of high-altitude innovation has always been at the core of what we do at Stratoship. This nomination recognises the hard work, creativity, and dedication our team brings to developing uncrewed HAPS every day.

Stratoship has reached the stratosphere with their first high-altitude airship. The SZ-155 airship spent over 8 hours in the stratosphere, and marked Australia’s first sovereign-designed and manufactured HAPS (high-altitude platform station) to make it to the stratosphere.

Commencing April 2025, Stratoship is taking rideshare payloads on our R&D test flights. Stratospheric flights serve as a validation environment.

Stratoship recently achieved the second ever test flight of our prototype high altitude airship.

Jennifer Williams has been selected as one of six individuals to participate in the ARM Hub Female Founders Scale-up Manufacturing Program.

After a long wait, CASA has granted Stratoship all of the approvals needed to launch the SZ-155 from our flight location in central Queensland.
