Stratoship Receives Flight Approvals
After a long wait, CASA has granted Stratoship all of the approvals needed to launch the SZ-155 from our flight location in central Queensland.

CASA approvals are required under the Civil Aviation Act 1998 to fly large remotely piloted aircraft. The SZ-155 falls under these rules. The SZ-155 is designed to fly through controlled airspace, to an altitude above 60,000 ft (18 km).

The Stratoship team plans to be flying from central Queensland in the next 2 weeks as part of a series of flight tests to develop the propulsion and control systems on board.
