Stratoship Reaches the Stratosphere
We have placed our first self-designed, self-built object in the stratosphere. Stratoship’s first proof of concept, ‘The Pebble’, was designed to reach the stratosphere before descending safely back to the ground as part of RMIT’s Firefly Pathfinder.

This photo was taken at 17 km up from a camera on board. The Pebble travelled more than 150km over the traditional country of the Bigamabul and Kamilaroi people.
Stratoship would like to thank the Goondiwindi Regional Council for granting permission to launch from council land, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for their positive and cooperative approach to safety and approval.
